Novikov Dmitry Vladimirovich was born on February 07, 1971. In 1994 he graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute with a degree in electrical insulation, cable and capacitor engineering." From 1994 to 2000 he worked at the Podolskkabel cable factory. Since 2000, he has been working at the All-Russian Research Institute of the Cable Industry (JSC "VNIIKP"), initially as head of the department, and since 2008 - head of the department "Wires and cables for electric cars, transport installations and appliances". In 1999 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on the topic "Development and research of heat-resistant cables for submersible oil pumps".
Novikov D.V. is a leading specialist in the field of cables and wires of increased flexibility for transport, oil and gas industry, shipbuilding and other important sectors of the economy. He made a significant contribution to the development of cable science and technology.
He has carried out major works on theoretical and experimental studies of new generation rubber electrical insulation mixtures, on the development of wires and cables for rolling stock of rail transport, ship cables, installation cables in fireproof design, cables for submersible pumps of oil production, a unified series of power cables with improved weight and performance characteristics. Currently, he heads a complex of works on the creation of a new generation of flexible fireproof cables and wires for transport and on import substitution of cable and wire products.
He has 12 patents for inventions and utility models. He has published 30 printed works. He has repeatedly made presentations at industry and intersectoral seminars and conferences. In the editorial board of the journal, he conducts topics on special-purpose cables, including increased flexibility with rubber insulation.
By the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the title of "Doctor of Electrical Engineering".
