Low-voltage cable and wire current state and trends of development


The paper provides an analysis of the current state of global and domestic low-voltage cable and wire production. An assessment of the changes in the production for the last 7 years is given. Primary problems associated with low-voltage cable and wire production are outlined.

State of the safety regulations and norms for low-voltage cable and wire

The cable and wire safety is presented as a combination of basic characteristics and operational properties providing the compliance with the technical requirements of ТР ТС 004/2011 “On safety of low-voltage equipment”. Standardization of safety requirements for power cable is shown by the example of GOST 31996–2012 requirements.

Innovative designs of conductors for high-voltage transmission lines

Determination of parameters of equivalent cable circuit for “EI-2” category tests


The dependence of the test equipment performance requirements on the cable insulation properties and the conditions of their in-process measurement is analyzed. Recommendations are given on the selection of the test equipment energy parameters based on the analysis of the polymer insulation physical parameters
